I always love traveling! It is one of the things that I really enjoy doing. Whether I am alone or with friends or with my family, as long as it's traveling, I'll never grow tired of it. I had a bunch of travel experiences and few of them I did alone. I think I am born a wanderer and I believe that in traveling, I will get to know the environment, people, and culture around me as well as getting to know myself even more.

Today, I will share to you some of the things that I really do consider before planning a trip. Of course, we really try to enjoy our trip and what we want to do is eliminate future problems, conflicts, and hassles.

1. Schedule your trip.

"The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." Before traveling, you should first have a clear schedule and the next step would be to book tickets. It is really good to schedule the whole trip months before or a week in minimum. This way, you will not just be physically ready, but also financially and mentally.

2. Research about the place.

"If you don't know where you are going, you might wind up someplace else." Researching about place before actually getting there is essential. It is another way of physically and mentally preparing yourself of what you might experience and encounter during the travel. This will help you choose your outfits, respect the culture, and get along with people.

3. Prepare your budget.

One of the major considerations before traveling is money. You can't get far if you don't have the means to do it. Budgeting what money you have is crucial in planning a good trip. This will aid your financial decisions and will help you maximize the entire journey.

4. Include allowances.

If you plan to travel, you must think of allowances. Allowances include time and money. Time allowances are important for you to not miss your trip and money allowances should be considered in case you run out of budget.

5. Pack lightly.

If your travel will last for several weeks or even months, then you need to pack a lot. But if it is only good for a few days, packing lightly should be your choice. You do not want carrying a lot of baggage in your travel as it will only slow you down and will greatly exhaust you. In order to pack lightly, you should first plan your outfits beforehand and carry shoes that will match most of your clothes.

6. Plan your trip.

Planning your trip means listing places you want to visit at a specific date and time. This will help you maximize your trip and will let you experience a lot in a short period of time. It is also a way to avoid getting lost in your trip and with your budget.

7. Be open to new things.

When you travel, you will experience and encounter a lot of things. What you should do is be open to different cultures, people, and places. Of course, you do not want to offend the locals in a particular place just because you don't possess the same beliefs they have. On top of that, you do not want to disrespect and alter their culture just because it is new and completely different to yours.

8. Avoid shopping.

When you are on a tight budget and only traveling for experience, it is not recommended for you to spend a lot in terms of shopping. Impulsive buying on a trip will surely deplete your limited budget. When traveling, what's more important are the experiences and memories you will treasure rather than souvenirs you will bring home.

9. Be mindful.

This tip is for you to avoid losing valuable things during your travel. You should always keep an eye on all of your belongings and baggage because you do not want to end up looking for your things in your entire trip. This will only spoil your trip and make you more stressed.

10. Enjoy.

This is the last tip that I can give but this is also the most important of them all. Enjoying your trip when you are already there is really, really important. Even if you prepared everything, and followed the previous tips, if you are not enjoying in doing this, then this will all be pointless and will be just a waste of time and resources. Remember, "don't be just a tourist, be a traveler."

Happy traveling and may our paths cross one another. Love lots!
